Becky Williams - Solo Cornet

Becky began playing cornet at the age of seven in 1994, with her local band Penzance Silver Band. In 1995 she played for St. Just Royal British Legion Band, as well as still playing with Penzance. She was with St.Just Royal British Legion Band until they disbanded in 1997. Becky also played with Camborne Youth Band from 1997 to 1998. After 1998 Becky gave her time playing with Penzance Silver Band.

In 2000 with Penzance Silver Band Becky played in the National Final's at the Royal Albert Hall coming second in the fourth section.

In 2004 Becky joined Carharrack & St. Day Silver Band as Principal Cornet and is loving every moment of it.

Becky is currently studying Sociology at Plymouth University, and comes back to play and much as she can.

Jessica Hutchens - Solo Cornet

Jessica began playing in 2002 at the age of 6, with Illogan Sparnon Silver Band. She joined Carharrack & St. Day Silver Band in 2006.

Jessica’s hobbies are roller bladeing, playing on the computer, drawing and athletics.

Nicola Martin - Solo Cornet

Nicola began playing at the age of thirteen, with Carharrack & St. Day Silver Band. She played with the band for ten years, and came back in 1997 after a break..

Nicola’s hobbies are moon bathing, drinking, eating, spending money, and working.

Clive Reynolds - 2nd Cornet

Clive began playing at the age of 18 and first joined Carharrack & St. Day Silver Band in 1969. He stayed with the band for 3 years and finished banding in 1972. Clive rejoined Carharrack & St. Day Silver Band in 2007 after being away for 35 years. He is really enjoying being back with the band and being part of the banding world again.

Between the years of 1970 and 1972 Clive played for the Cornwall Youth Band.

Clive is also a tower bell ringer for St Euny Church, Redruth and is also a keen cyclist.

Jessica Hollis - 2nd Cornet

Jessica began playing in 2005 at the age of 10, with Illogan Sparnon Silver Band, she continued to play for them for two and half years before joining Carharrack & St. Day Silver Band in October 2007.

Before taking up the 2nd Cornet seat at Carharrack & St. Day Silver Band Jessica played baritone and solo cornet for 2 years with Illogan Sparnon Silver Band. Jessica is really enjoys playing with Carharrack & St. Day Silver Band and says "the band rocks!!"

Jessica’s hobbies are socializing with friends, reading, being happy, acting really randomly, surfing the web, watching films, playing games and listing to music.
